FINE ART PHOTOGRAPH OF THE WEEK: OLD MINING TOWN, BODIE

©Kelly Fitzgerald.  Old Mining Town, Bodie
Archival Pigment Ink Print
16" H x 20" W
Limited Edition of 25
Price: $600 USD

Bodie State Historic Park is a genuine California gold-mining ghost town.  Visitors can walk down the deserted streets of a town that once had a population of nearly 10,000 people.  The town is named for Waterman S. Body (William Bodey), who had discovered small amounts of gold in hills north of Mono Lake.

Works from "The Bodie Series" are sold as limited edition fine art photographic prints.  Whether you are a first time or seasoned art collector, investor, or dealer, Kelly Fitzgerald and her Representatives give you the opportunity to acquire remarkable artwork that will appreciate over time and give you years of enjoyment.

Professional framing is available for an additional charge.

This work was created by using an old medium format film camera and traditional Black-and-White 120mm film.  The traditional negative is scanned on a drum scanner to create a 300 megabyte digital file which serves as a vehicle for the tonal balancing, lighting, and darkening that was formerly done in the darkroom.  Once the aesthetic interpretation is realized in the computer and matched with the artist proof print created in the traditional "wet" darkroom, the image is then printed as an archival pigment ink print.
