©Kelly Fitzgerald. Mono Lake Basin, CA Silver Gelatin Archival Fiber Base Print 20" H x 24" W Limited Edition of 5 Price: $1,400 USD |
Today, Mono Lake is rising and its streams are in the early stages of re-establishing the natural processes that once supported lush cottonwood-willow forests and thriving fish populations. As this recovery proceeds over the next 20 years, there will be much to observe, document, and learn. Restoration is an emerging field of knowledge -- half science, half art. Mono Lake's recovery over the next 20 years offers a dynamic lesson in restoration that we are all privileged to witness.
Works from "The Sierra Series" are sold as limited edition fine art photographic prints. Whether you are a first time or seasoned art collector, investor, or dealer, Kelly Fitzgerald and her Representatives give you the opportunity to acquire remarkable artwork that will appreciate over time and give you years of enjoyment.
Professional framing is available for an additional charge. |
This work was created by using an old manual SLR film camera and Kodak Professional High-Speed HIE Black-and-White Infrared Negative Film. Sadly, the film is no longer being manufactured. The traditional negative is scanned on a drum scanner to create a 300 megabyte digital file which serves as a vehicle for the tonal balancing, lighting, and darkening that was formerly done in the darkroom. Once the aesthetic interpretation is realized in the computer and matched with the artist proof print created in the traditional "wet" darkroom, the image is then printed as an archival silver gelatin fiber base print.
A fine art photographic print by Kelly Fitzgerald will beautify your home or enhance your place of business. |
