I just found out yesterday that this structure no longer exists. Lakeview Links Bar in Chicago was quite the place and it was enjoyed by many. Lakeview Links has the dubious distinction of being the first Chicago bar to bite the dust in 2006, just edging out Tiny Lounge. The entire structure has been leveled along with the shell next to it that stood vacant on the corner of Belmont and Wilton for ages.
I am grateful that I captured this piece of Chicago history.

This work was created by using an old SLR film camera and traditional Black-and-White Film. The traditional negative is scanned on a drum scanner to create a 300 megabyte digital file which serves as a vehicle for the tonal balancing, lighting, and darkening that was formerly done in the darkroom. Once the aesthetic interpretation is realized in the computer and matched with the artist proof print created in the traditional "wet" darkroom, the image is then printed as an archival pigment ink print.

I came upon this beautiful pathway lined with trees in Southern Italy as I explored the area on foot. I'll never forget that day as I walked along a narrow dirt road for miles ... staring out at the beautiful view of the Mediterranean Sea.
